As much as I love FPAC (one of the first performers when it was at Cabrillo) it would've been nice to have a sort of supplemental festival over on my side of LA. Cause dude, San Pedro is freaking far from the valley. Just ask my sister. So there were actually a few things that i thought about after watching the video: 1. Dude...that was Chase park, where I used to have my elementary school (ST. GEN'S!) football practices, and where I played basketball on Sat. and Sun. mornings with all the other Filipinos who throw elbows. 2. Dude...why would there be a Jollibee vendor there when Panorama City has officially become the first small city with TWO Jollibees within a half mile radius. I mean...seriously, there's no lack of Jolli around this side of the world. 3. In all honesty, Panorama City would be a good spot for a festival, seeing as how my church is, oh, about 85% Filipino attended, and up until earlier this year, the clergy were 75% Filipino. 4. Thanks Moonie for letting me know that my cousin is in a band, and that her band performed at FPAC. 5. I was in a Coffee Bean last night, and on their calendar of events, they had the Kayamanan Ng Lahi show at the Ford Theater on there. Man...that's semi-mainstream. 6. Kobe's not having surgery on his Pinky? 7. Man...it is hot in the Valley, so I would suggest any events held there should either be in the winter, fall, or not summer. And nowhere near CSUN.
