Lani has been in Las Vegas for so many years, and yet, nobody signs her up for a record deal. Just like what David Foster has said on his interview, "There’s a lot of great singers out there. They come up and sing, they can even have a hit record, but you’re like, ‘hmm… that’s not really turning me on.’ People’s jaws drop when they hear her (Charice) sing. She’s spellbinding." David Foster: When my sister and a friend of mine from Warner Brothers called me within 10 minutes of each other, sending me the link from YouTube. Then shortly thereafter Oprah found it and she told me about her and had her on the show. It was interesting, that oscar night. It was kind of a rowdy crowd. I was up on stage with a couple of other performers… very, very difficult to get them to quiet down and when Charice came on, the place went silent. The girl packs a wallop like I haven’t seen since Whitney and Celine. Enough said ...
