Take back what you said about Salisbury Steak RIGHT NOW!

Hey, I like Salisbury Steak. Ang sarap naman ang eSalisbury eSteak. There’s nothing wrong with Salisbury Steak, provided that it’s quality, tasty and savory Salisbury Steak. However, Salisbury Steak that misleadingly advertises itself as Porterhouse, falsely claims to be Chateaubriand or laughingly insists on being labeled as Kobe is an insult to the very notion of Salisbury Steak. The time of mediocre, poorly-crafted Salisbury Steak is over. There’s far too many other options out there. I will not stand for and outright refuse to support low quality Salisbury Steak!

Well, there’s negativity without purpose, and then there’s calling people out when they do something shady. We shouldn’t just give an event, organization or publication our support because its being run by Filipinos or Fil-Ams. I think one of the issues in our community is that too many people try for the quick and easy instead of putting some real effort into making a good product. From what I’ve seen and read of M7, the product they’ve put out is almost indistinguishable from any of the other “fashion” mags out there. I’ve flipped through the issue mentioned in the previous article (and might I add, the only issue I’ve seen put out), and it seemed no different to me than the L.A. Direct mag I can get for free at Dupars. For me to want to get that magazine, I’d want something that could actually get me to stop and read it, as opposed to something that I can flip through and then toss aside. Unfortunately, the incident with the fake Manny after-party is another sadly familiar sign that these people are just in it for themselves and not the community. Support them if you want, but I prefer to wait for the filet mignon rather than take whatever salisbury steak everyone else is putting out these days.

im referring to all these negative write-ups on m7 magazine, read up on the other post “making meaning out of m7 magazine” i tried to google m7 and saw all these negativity.

Why so critical on hating this group? What have they done to deserve it?
Isn’t what they’re doing something we should applaud them for? Btw, take into consideration that many could go wrong in this world so maybe Manny was supposed to show up to their party but since he didn’t maybe Manny made it up by coming to their other party which was very successful… i think… great crowd and nice location. It was said to be all planned in a week i spoke to one of the promoters. Impressive… i think. It was pretty cold that night though but was all worth it after a glimpse of our grinning champ.

When I started reading the article, I thought you might be a little hard on the M7 people, until I got to the excerpts from the press release. The “celebrities expected to attend” section in particular. That’s just bad business. You can’t say that you expect Manny Pacquiao to attend, knowing full well that he’s got his own party at another venue. Even if they didn’t know about the party, the responsible thing would have been to contact Manny’s people to find out if he could come. THEN they would have found out about the other party. As for the other celebrities, I wonder if they even contacted them about attending, or just put their names down because someone on staff said “they knew someone who knew them.” Shameful. And disappointing.
