Hatton has slight edges in height (+1″) and fist size (+11/2). But other then that Manny Pacquaio comes out the larger man.

All though Hatton has faced larger opponents, the overall quality of competition goes into Pacman’s favor.

Ricky Hatton is an excellent blue collar brawler/puncher with improved defenses and head movement. His ability to cut off the ring, corner, and bully Manny into 1-2 clinch situations are key to his success. Cutting the distance between himself and Manny is essential to this game plan so as to avoid stinging straight lefts and an over hand right.

As great as Floyd Mayweather Sr. is as a Master of the Sweet Science, (and I do believe in his work and understanding of boxing) he has only been with Ricky Hatton for 2 fights out of 46. The discipline necessary to handle a Pacquiao offense and counter accordingly will be lost by Ricky by the 3rd round. Finding himself in a more familiar seek and destroy stance and approach.
