Robbie Lawler Retains EliteXC Middleweight Title

Robbie Lawler with the EliteXC Middleweight Title BeltFor all you MMA fans out there, Robbie Lawler defeated Scott Smith with a TKO in the 2nd round to retain the EliteXC Middleweight title.  The fight took place on Saturday, July 26 in Stockton, CA and was aired in a prime time national broadcast on CBS.  Pretty cool that a bi-racial Pinoy was in the main event for EliteXC’s second prime time network show.  And he won by delivering some hard knees to the body and head of Smith.  Props to both Smith and Lawler for a hard fought main event.

Brandon Vera and now Robbie Lawler. Man…I’d hate to fuck with Pinoy hapas from San Diego!

I always thought that guy looked kinda Filipino. Truly savage knees followed by a quasi-illegal soccer kick.

    Hey Moonie,
Where did you get the info on Lawler’s ethnicity? I know Brandon Vera is pinoy and carries it with pride. There is also this WEC fighter Mark Munoz who is full on pinoy and sports the pinoy sun on his gear. It’s cool to see pinoys who are competitive in professional sports. Hope to see more.

Dude, Mark Munoz DESTROYED his last opponent! Give me a few seconds and I’m gonna post something about the new little league champs.
